Welcome to Go Karts Go Nelson Bay, the biggest, longest and fastest 4-stroke outdoor go kart track. Our go karts are the latest from Europe and we also have specially modified junior go karts as well... as twin seaters. This allows us to cater from as young as 5 years of age. Our 350m track consists of a variety of fast straights, long fast corners, and a good mixture of slower corners to really test out every driver that goes on our track, from the beginner right through to the most experienced! Each ride that goes on our track receives a printout of their best lap times so it is a great way to challenge your family, friends or workmates to find out who really is the fastest driver after all! Pretty much every guide to Port Stephens will make mention of the Tomaree Head Summit Hike - and for good reason. Take the invigorating short walk to the summit of Tomaree Head — it should take... about 45 minutes to get to the top of the rugged peak positioned 161 metres above the port’s entrance to the Tasman Sea. As you hike the track, you’ll enjoy unparalleled views of idyllic Port Stephens and its coastline. When you reach the summit, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views over the town and along the coastline from the two viewing platforms. Yacaaba Head, Cabbage Tree, Boondelbah and Broughton Islands from the north platform. From the south platform, views of Zenith, Wreck and Box Beaches, Fingal Island and Point Stephens Lighthouse will be sure to impress. Take your binoculars as you might be lucky to see some dolphins and whales. There’s a picnic table up there, too, if you’d like to take a break before you head back down. If you want to keep walking, peel away to the Fort Tomaree track to check out the historic gun emplacements from World War II.

Oakvale Wildlife Park is located 2.5 hours north of Sydney in beautiful Port Stephens. Set on 25 acres Oakvale is 100% Australian owned and operated. At the farm you will find an endless menagerie of... Australian native and domestic farm animals such as ducklings, rabbits, goats, sheep, cattle and horses, koalas, kangaroos, wombats, emus, dingos and a myriad of birds as small as a quarrion and as large as an ostrich. Plus many, many more. Oakvale opened its doors to the public in November of 1979 under the ownership of Jeffrey and Elaine Sansom. Their son Kent later took over the running of the farm in 1995. His wife Leanne later joined him in 2003 and as a family business endeavour to operate a fun, friendly, family orientated place for the whole family to enjoy. Since 1979 the farm has undergone countless changes including our major facelift with the construction of our kiosk and eating area facilities with a seating capacity of up to 180 people. The one thing that remains the same is our commitment to providing an environment for our children to learn about our native wildlife and how to protect it. We hope to ensure a fun, safe, educational and value for money experience for the whole family whilst keeping things as hands-on as possible.

With a focus on Education, Conservation and Fun, Irukandji is a unique, interactive aquarium that allows visitors to experience ocean life in a new and exciting way! The Marine Park extends from Cape Hawke Surf Life Saving Club near Forster south to Birubi Beach Life Saving Club at the northern end of Stockton Beach, through the offshore waters to three nautical mile... limit of State waters. It includes Port Stephens, Karuah River, Myall River, Myall and Smiths Lakes and their creeks and tributaries to the tidal limit. The park covers an area of approximately 98,000 hectares. NSW Government established the park in December 2005. The park's diverse marine life includes many species of dolphins, turtles, fish, seabirds and seaweeds along with threatened species. Humpback whales travel along the marine park coastline during their annual migration north. Visitors and residents can enjoy eco-tourism activities including fishing, boating, dolphin and whale watching as well as swimming, diving, snorkelling, kayaking and other water sports. Eastern Port; Explore the East Port – we head out of the marina and across the Bay towards Jimmys... Beach. This is a great spot, where we often sight our local bottlenose dolphins. We will then continue along the beach towards Yaccaba Headland and then cross back to Shoal Bay and Fly Point, before making our way back to the marina . Western Port; We head out of the marina and go West along Dutchman’s Beach (Dutchies) and Bagnalls Beach towards the Anchorage Marina. We will then head North towards Pindimar and the entrance to the Myall River. This is also a popular spot to find some of our local bottlenose dolphins.

The Original Tea Gardens Ferry Service operates a daily return ferry service between Nelson Bay and Tea Gardens. Crossing the bay is a must for visitors and locals to the Port Stephens and Myall Coast... Blue Water Wonderland. Sand Dune Safaris is a small, non-commercial, family owned and operated business. We have been operating on the beautiful Stockton Sand Dunes for over 20 years. What sets us apart from other 4WD tour operators... is that we do not cater to the large inbound tour groups that visit the dunes daily from Sydney. Therefore we are able to provide you with the friendly, personal service we pride ourselves on! Our focus away from the ‘mass produced” tourist market allows us to be unique in several ways: We are able to offer Stand Up sandboarding in addition the sit down style. This is because we don’t have an overcrowded dune. In addition, our personal service means we can spend more time overcoming any language barriers, and offering individual attention. We like to encourage our customers to stay and enjoy their experience for as long as possible. We provide a shaded picnic area complete with tables and chairs. Bring your lunch and enjoy the views! Our sand dune area is the furthest along the dunes, as we don’t have groups needing to stick to tight itineraries. This means getting to our sand dune area is relaxing, and half the fun! Port Stephens Council in partnership with Port Stephens Koalas has created a Koala Sanctuary to ensure first-class care to sick, injured and orphaned koalas. Visitors to the Sanctuary experience an... opportunity to learn all about Koalas on the meandering Sanctuary Story Walk, an immersive educational experience, before heading onto the Newcastle Airport SKYwalk, a 225 metre elevated walkway and viewing platform that takes you up 10 metres into the tree top canopy offering a unique perspective into the koala's natural habitat. Visit the Koala Hospital and take a look through the hospital viewing window as veterinary staff carry out examinations* and administer treatment to koala inpatients. *Subject to clinic times.
